The Children’s Ministry of City Bible Church exists to glorify God through evangelizing children, encouraging parents, and edifying servants so that the gospel may be spread among our children, families may be supported, and the church may be strengthened.

We use the Generations of Grace Curriculum published by Grace Books International.

At City Bible Church, we want to partner with parents in making disciples of Jesus who love God, one another, and the lost. Our volunteers work hard to create a safe, fun, and inviting space for kids to hear the good news of Jesus.

Sunday School (Pre-K to 6th grade)

We use the Generations of Grace curriculum, which is designed to cover the narrative of God’s redemptive plan. The goal being to lead our kids to see the excellencies of Christ through the teaching of His Word.
(Sunday School is provided during service for ages 3-11.)

Nursery

Our desire here at City Bible is to provide the most comfortable, inviting, and helpful atmosphere for you and your infant. Our goal is to provide the service and means necessary for your infant to be comfortable during their stay in our nursery so that you can participate in our worship service.
Care provided during service for children under 3 years of age.

Safety and Security!

Safety is important and so is peace of mind! We have a check in system that prints a name label for each child and a security label for the parent to ensure a secure check out. Also, parents are notified via text if they are needed. On a Sunday morning you will clearly see our check-in kiosk and our volunteers will help you get you children checked in.

Purpose

God’s glory is the ultimate purpose of all things (Rom 11:36) and is inseparably linked to redemption (Eph 1:12) through which regenerate man has the desire and ability (2 Cor 3:18) to please and praise God in everything (1 Cor 10:31). The church was established for God’s glory and is a primary means through which He is exalted (Eph 3:21) as she shares, defends, teaches, and embodies His truth (1 Tim 3:15). This reality is manifested as the local church embraces its commission to evangelize the lost and its call to equip and encourage the saints, including parents. Therefore, Children’s Ministry serves as an effective vehicle through which the church is strengthened as she glorifies God through sharing the gospel, supporting parents, and strengthening the saints.

Sharing the Gospel

The mandate to take the gospel into all the world and share the good news of Christ (Matthew 28:18-20; Luke 24:46-47) does not exclude children. We understand a child's greatest need to be no different than anyone else, which is to be reconciled with God through faith in Jesus Christ (Rom. 3:23; 10:9-17). In our Sunday Morning Ministry, we pursue ministering to the hearts of our children by teaching sequentially through Scripture, allowing the main emphases of the Bible texts to be the main emphases of each lesson, for it is the Scripture that testifies about Christ (John 5:39-40).

Supporting Parents

Strengthening the Saints

Our children benefit by their presence in engaging classrooms that preach Christ; our parents benefit by being further equipped for the high calling of nurturing souls; and finally, our saints who teach benefit, by growing in their faith and gifting to communicate God's truth. Our saints who teach the Word of God in the Children's Ministry are not any less accountable that those who teach adults, they are under the same strict judgment (James 3:1). Our curriculum, along with our pastors, continue to equip our Sunday School teachers to read, study, obey, and communicate the Word of God clearly and accurately (2 Tim. 2:15). Since the Scripture is sufficient to equip the believer for every good work (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:2-4), this then continues to build the body as a whole (Eph. 4:11-16).
