Purpose

It's been said that the inerrancy of Scripture is useless if the sufficiency of Scripture is denied. This is demonstrated to be especially true in the areas of counseling and discipleship. Only the Bible is sufficient to explain all things pertaining to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3-4), to fully equip the Christian for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17), and to "cut" to the depths of the heart (Hebrews 4:12-13). So why are people of faith so quick to run to sources other than the Bible when working through life's problems? This class will expose the flaws in much so-called "Christian" counseling, and equip the student to give the greatest help to themselves and others in their trials, leading them to the Great Physician, Jesus Christ. 

Note: this training is especially commended for those who desire to teach, counsel, and make disciples.
